Welcome to ECHOES: AI Civilization (“Echoes,” the “Service”), a daily game where you found AI-driven civilizations, make decisions, and collect the heroes, artifacts, and relics they leave behind. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Echoes, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
No Account Required: Echoes does not ask for your name, email, or any sign-up. When you first open the app, a random device identifier is generated to save your progress and enforce daily limits. We cannot use it to personally identify you.
Game Data: The civilizations you found, the decisions you make, the collectibles you own, your currencies, streaks, and leaderboard standing are stored on our servers and linked to your device identifier.
The Names You Type: Names you give your civilizations are used in your game and shown on public leaderboards. Please don't include personal or sensitive information in them.
Automatically Collected Information: Device type, operating system, app version, app usage, crash data, and IP address.
Payment Information: Subscriptions are processed securely through Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
To run the game — save your civilizations, collection, and progress, and rank you on leaderboards.
To generate game content with AI (events, collectible artwork, and the stories of your civilizations).
To enforce free usage limits and manage subscriptions.
To analyze app performance and fix bugs using aggregated analytics and crash data.
To show rewarded ads to non-premium players who choose to watch them for in-game rewards.
To communicate updates or respond to your feedback.
3. AI Processing
Echoes uses Google’s Gemini and Imagen models, accessed through Google Cloud Vertex AI, to generate gameplay — including events, civilization stories and epitaphs, and the artwork for collectibles. Only game data needed to produce a result (such as an item’s name or a prompt describing it) is sent to these AI services. Your game data is not used to train AI models.
Generated collectible artwork is created once per item and shared across all players who own that same item, so the same myth looks the same in every world.
4. Data Storage and Retention
Your game progress and generated content are stored on our cloud servers (Google Cloud Platform) and retained while your device continues to use the app.
Data in transit is protected using encryption.
If you delete the app and stop playing, or ask us to delete your data (see Section 7), the information tied to your device identifier will be removed.
5. Third-Party Services
Echoes relies on trusted third-party services to operate and improve the app:
Google Cloud / Vertex AI (Gemini & Imagen) — Generates game events, stories, and collectible artwork.

6. Advertising ID and Ad Personalization
Echoes may access your device’s Google Advertising ID (AAID) to support ad delivery and measurement through Google AdMob. You can view or reset your Advertising ID, and opt out of personalized ads, anytime under Settings → Privacy → Ads on your Android device (path may vary by device manufacturer and Android version), or from the App Tracking option inside Echoes’ own Settings screen. Opting out does not stop ads from showing, but ads will no longer be personalized based on your interests.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through Google Play, under Payments & Subscriptions in your Google account settings.
You can request deletion of the data associated with your device identifier by emailing us (see Section 11).
You control the names you type and can change your civilization’s name when you found a new one.
8. Children’s Privacy
Echoes is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted promptly.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country (for example, in the United States) in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected here with a new “Last Updated” date.
